As one of miami’s most interesting individuals, Carlos Portobanco, better known as “PURPLE” / @purplemiami has become an international household name for today’s generation.
Throughout his 20+ year career in the nightlife and hospitality industry, purp has risen the ranks to become one of miami’s most magnetic characters, establishing himself as the ‘go-to’ guy for celebrities and socialites.
With big plans ahead, Purp has now set his sights on disrupting the untapped hookah/shisha industry with his very own one-of-a-kind hookah lifestyle brand.
The PURP SMOKE brand aims to disrupt the hookah-shisha industry with state of the art hookah technology and a younger, more refreshed ‘hip’ approach/twist to the traditional hookah. Similar to how red bull branded themselves as a ‘lifestyle brand’ rather than an energy drink, PURP SMOKE will merge/parallel the hookah-shisha industry with music, entertainment, fashion and the arts.
As hookahs gain more popularity in nightlife and restaurant venues, PURP SMOKE will lead the way as the new ‘must have’ hookah and establish itself as the highly coveted industry standard for hookah smoke.

Instructions:
We're really looking for a timeless design that will be engrained into today's modern generation. Much like how the fashion brand Yves Saint Laurent has 2 logos; the 'YSL' logo, and the Yves Saint Laurent logo, we want to have two logos.
1 with PS (for Purp Smoke) and then the whole 'PURP SMOKE' text logo spelled out entirely. They each have to compliment each other.
As for style/thoughts, we like the idea of something smokey but not too cheesy smoke. a classic luxurious smoke. We are targeting hookah enthusiasts + high net individuals who love to smoke shisha. Our new hookah will be set to debut Summer 2022 all throughout key Miami, Vegas locations so it's got to have a hip cool modern feel to it. We don't just sell hookahs, we are a lifestyle brand. Think Miami, Beaches, Beautiful women, and lots of hookah smoke. And at night, dark black, neon purple lights, piano black furniture, black leather and lots of purple smoke. See attached for mood/inspiration. Our current logo is just a "smoky" font that I found on dafont.com -- it works but it's kinda cheesy/round.
We also like the idea of a timeless pattern.. just like the Gucci, FENDI FF, Louis Vuitton / LV x monogram, we want to incorporate a "PS" pattern to our box/packaging. We really wish to be in tune/ flux with the fashion/material luxury industry. Think HIGH-END Hookah but also hip, modern, cool like supreme/off-white.
