I work for Union Pacific railroad in the construction group. We recently reorganized and now the one group consists of track, signal and bridge construction. We handle all civil work as well for each of the three sub groups. There is a lot going on in one group, so we want a logo that defines us as one group without using our trademark shield or using the company name.

There is a lot going on in one group, so we want a logo that defines us as one group without using our trademark shield or using the company name.

It is essential that the logo incorporate a distinct feature from each group associated in the logo, such as crossing gates for signal, a piece of heavy equipment for track (such as an excavator), and a bridge or something that signifies a bridge for our bridge guys. The design must contain all three of these facets while keeping everything cohesive. We have no preference on colors as long as it looks professional and is versatile. We intend to use it for during presentations, embroidery items and letterheads, along with other items that may come up. Be creative and don't limit your options to what I've only listed as ideas.
