A logo has to convey a message in an instant so that the buyer grasps the idea for the logo.
No circular designs or circles please.
If you design a swimming pool, make it geometrical, square or rectangle.  
turquoise is a favorite color but not for font. it is very appropriate for a pool.
Do not create any waves.  That is so overused it is stale.  Waves do not convey a message to the viewer.
I always prefer dark color font on white background:
In an instant, you should be able to create an image and name integrated to communicate the idea of
a swimming pool (below ground).
