- Company Intro：
- Nin operates a beauty salon in the heart of central Pattaya, Thailand. Nin has been in the Barber Shop business for 15 years, operating at her current location in a vibrant & extremely colourful part of Pattaya for 6 years. There is a total staff of 7 women. She has a large and regular client base, 90% male and 10% women and a mix of children. Popular items on the offering are: Haircuts, cut throat razor shaves, facials (scrubs and moisturising) hair and beard colouring, unisex manicures & pedicures, makeup and nails on occasion. The customer base and target market is predominantly white Anglo Saxon hetrosexual males, 45 - 75 yo age group with a smaller mix of the 30 - 45 yo ages. Quite a few Thais frequent too, including women, transgender women, ladyboys, Tomboys and gay men. Youtube videos (and a long success running the current shop she owns) as noted below have increased foot traffic and Nin’s fame has spread accordingly. Nin is loved for her quirky sense of humour, a level of strict discipline, professionalism, sharing long periods of time with her clients to give them an extraordinary service and conversation should they choose to engage. She is fun and extremely likable.
- The core design brief: There is a need for a logo to encapsulate some of her personality, her look, and the obligatory scissors and razor and maybe barber pole elements. The strict facial look yet subtle humorous smile (incorporating the big natural red lips) is hoped for in the logo. Yellow is a strong base colour, the shop interior will be repainted more fully with yellow walls, the new uniforms shall be likely yellow have a dark blue trim / edging. The “NIN BARBER - PATTAYA” signage (and the logo too?) could be the same dark blue as the trim on the uniforms and similar to a dark blue currently used on the signage seen in some of the photos that accompany this brief.. The logo could be a close facsimile of Nin, using the available pictures, or a cartoon / stylised look could work too. Full colour or primary colours are certainly open for acceptance. That said the logo shall be used for digital advertising and communication, signage, branding of accessories and products that will be made available for sale locally and online. Whilst this sounds a bit specific, having Nins face in the brand etc, please feel free to play around with any ideas.
