We prefer something minimalist.  Nothing too big and gaudy.  More modern as we want to appeal to millennials.  The word "oak" does have some meaning to our church. The verse we often quote has the word "oak" in it; "They will be called oaks of righteousness."  There is also a huge oak tree in our parking lot that is a landmark in the area.  And we originally got "Thousand Oaks" in our name because it is the main street's name we are on. We would like to see some creative ways to integrate an oak tree into the logo if it can be depicted in a clean modern way, though not totally a requirement.  The attached design with the oak tree in it is one of our previous logos and is too busy and old fashioned.  The other ones are variations of our current logo.  Many actually like it but some feel it doesn't convey enough with just the T in a circle which is why we are doing this again. I like the fact in our current logo that the pic part of the logo can be separated from the words so we can use just the image without the text separately.
