The mascot is a bulldog, although I'd like to see some versions without the actual image of a bulldog.

We want a logo for use on shirts, jacket , caps etc. with the school mascot, a Bulldog, somehow in the logo.

The colors don't absolutely have to be black and red .

Please try some versions with some musical themes as well ( this is a High School Band logo...mostly marching band. )

Non of these really jump out at me although I appreciate the time that it took to develop them. I am hoping for something that stands out in the 13 hours left in the contest.
