The two words I think of are fun and simple.  I would like something that has some color and looks fun.  I would like it to reference kids somehow, but not make it too childish looking (no baby blocks, etc).  If you can figure out a way to reference electricity and kids without making it seem a little morbid, that's great...but not a deal breaker. I'm not opposed to a colored background, if it matched the color palette of my website, but all of the logos I seem to prefer are white.  I would like something more on the minimalist side.  I don't want something too "busy," as I'd like for it to look good whether it's displayed as a large pic or a small.
