To take highly trafficked playgrounds and add or retrofit pieces of playground equipment to be more accessible to, and stimulating for, disabled children and adults. Ex. Replacing plastic slides with roller slides, or retrofitting the surfacing to be wheelchair accessible, or spinning pieces of equipment for children with Down syndrome The idea is that by being more inclusive we can grow our understanding or others from an early age when peer interaction and social skills are forming.
