The Pentanomic Institute

The Pentanomic Institute is a think-tank and political movement. We are promoting a new theory of government called "Pentanomics". In the pentanomic model, (1) capitalism is the private-resource economy, (2) government spending is the public-resource economy, (3) democracy is the political-resource economy, (4) diplomacy is the foreign-resource economy; and (5) concern for the long-term (e.g. sustainability & investment) is the future-resource economy. The benefit of the pentanomic model is that the laws of economics can now be applied to ALL human action (all human conflict). The result is a vision of government that unites freedom, prosperity, social-justice, progress, peace and sustainability/growth without compromise.

SO... the key branding messages here are: Hope, Authority, Progress, & Unity
Instructions
I'm looking for a logo that looks serious, corporate and unique. We are a think-tank first, and a political movement second. Obvious shapes to draw from are five-pointed stars and pentagons. However, those are pretty common logo elements, so we want to avoid being too obvious / cliche.
