E2D, Squeezing the Digital Divide, E-2-D.org
We are called E2D (Eliminate the Digital Divide) and provide refurbished laptop devices to social economically disadvantaged students in the Charlotte Mecklenburg, North Carolina School System. It is our goal that with internet access in these homes and access to digital technology we can help close the learning achievement gap. Our annual digital divide awareness fundraiser is run by children hosting lemonade stands in their communities. All donations from the stands go towards E2D and getting computers into their home schools for kids in need. Kids acting locally.- $125
