Our company is making a product called the Halo with an accompanying smartphone app. It is a headband that connects to a smartphone or tablet and helps prevent and relieve tension headaches, migraine headaches, and TMJ (jaw clenching and teeth grinding). The headband uses EMG sensors to detect muscle tension in the forehead and lets the user know they are stressed or tense through haptic feedback and the accompanying smartphone app. The smartphone app also coaches users through relaxation techniques to reduce headaches and tracks the progress in real time. We're open to any ideas so feel free to be creative. However, we tend to lean towards minimalistic type styles, but would like to see anything you can think of that looks nice. The idea behind our product is to detect when people are stressed and tense, make them aware that they are stressed and tense, and then teach them how to relax and relieve the symptoms caused by this stress including headaches. We'd like to portray a calming image. We also think of ourselves as half way between a medical device company and a technology company. The images on our website are just concept sketches and the final product will likely look very different. So please don't feel that you need to use those exact images for ideas. The final product will be a sleekly styled headband.
