The Logo should be simple and concise. It should be colorful, eye-catching and recognisable. Please consider that it will be used for an android app, therefore it will sometimes be shown at a very small size: Think of the small row on the upper end of your smartphone screen, where icons occur as soon as you get an email or alert from an app. 
 
Google itself makes the following recommendations for icons of android apps: &quot;Use a distinct silhouette. Three-dimensional, front view, with a slight perspective as if viewed from above, so that users perceive some depth.&quot;
