    Instructions
About the Logo A few general guidelines to keep in mind: 1. In India, online retail is still very nascent, and people may assume that CherryTin is a new store, rather than a website. We would therefore like the logo to indicate that we are online, by including “.com” in the logo. FYI, we own CherryTin.com and CherryTin.in domains. 2. The logo shouldn’t be too literal, so no cherries please, particularly since we likely won’t even sell cherries. 3. Logo should be packaging friendly; it should look good on white and colored backgrounds and a variety of surfaces (Tin, cardboard, leather, glass). 4. Logo should be in a single color, or grayscale. It should be iconic and stand on its own. We feel that the right single-colour/grayscale logo would be cool, differentiated/memorable, carry the right amount of attitude, and will give flexibility in branding. As a startup, our logo should make an impression, evoke curiosity, maybe stir an emotion... I have attached a few samples of logos we like. We still prefer grayscale to be website- and print-friendly, but clever use of a little colour is okay.

    Hi Kanika,

Please see my 5 new variations #155 to #159, which contain your latest suggestions. They're all basically the same elements, just different color combinations. Continuous line for gift box, greater contrast between Cherry and Tin, .com horizontal and bigger/bolder.

I thought I'd offer you a good selection of color schemes, so you can see all at once which works best.

I like the introduction of the cherry red color. Personally, I think #157 works best. The box stands out, and the .com being red adds that focus you were seeking for it. Both elements being cherry red ties the design well altogether.

    Send me your thoughts.

    Cheers.
