I was thinking something that incorporates a sprout of some sort (possibly a sprout that makes up a letter? (but audience can still read it) I also would like some brown rich soil to be shown in logo (possibly a circular spot below the sprout and a brown area making up the soil below the "The Fertile Sprout").  I attached a photo of an idea. Another design option would be what I wrote above but with a rain drop somewhere too. 

 On the other hand I do not want this to look like a landscape logo with a green sprig sticking out that you see on those landscape trucks a lot. I like simple logos but not too too simple.

My opinion on colors would be in line with what you see in nature, ya know, like rich colors green, brown, blue, etc. Maybe a nice gradient can be incorporated well?
