We're a plumbing company local to Salt Lake City, UT. We're most likely expanding soon into heating and cooling as well. The company is fairly new and energetic. We're owned by two people who are best friends outside of the company. The culture is young, relaxed, and trendy, but still competent and professional. We respond to a lot of problems that people are having in their homes, and we want to give the impression that we know what to do, it's not going to be a big deal, and the homeowner can relax because they're in good hands.

    Company Intro
    We're a plumbing company local to Salt Lake City, UT. We're most likely expanding soon into heating and cooling as well. The company is fairly new and energetic. We're owned by two people who are best friends outside of the company. The culture is young, relaxed, and trendy, but still competent and professional. We respond to a lot of problems that people are having in their homes, and we want to give the impression that we know what to do, it's not going to be a big deal, and the homeowner can relax because they're in good hands.
    Instructions
    We could see this going two ways. 1. A fresh take on our current design. The old logo (attached) was done by a friend, and while it's served us for the 3 years this company has been around, we're growing and it's time to step out of the amateur league and into the professional. The drawback to this approach is that the main logo is contained within a drop of water, which is great for plumbing, but less applicable if and when we expand to heating and air conditioning. The advantage is that we can maintain our brand recognition. 2. A clean-sheet total redo. We're up for looking at a complete overhaul and departure from what our old logo was. We just want to make sure that it fits the image and culture of the company. If we're giving up the brand recognition that we've built so far, we want it to be worth it. Avoid: We hate the ultra-busy and cliche design of most service companies. Laundry-detergent style neon colors, and imagery full of pipe wrenches, and goofy cartoons. We want sleek, modern, calm.
