Missing Piece

Missing Piece is an online blogging business that focuses on sharing the latest news and information related to consumer technology and productivity hardware/applications with its readers. To do so, we compose industry commentary and insights as well as product reviews and analysis so that readers can get a good sense of what new tech is on the horizon and whether or not a particular product might be right for them. While the blog does look at the broader technology space, one of our key focuses is shedding light on lesser known products (if it is hardware) or lesser known aspects/use cases of various software/apps. Additionally, the blog aims to simplify technological jargon and concepts, making it easier for the consumer to understand more complex topics as they're making their purchasing decisions. Our main goal is to help our readers and visitors find that "missing piece" - whether it's that piece of information that helps them make a better purchasing decision or that piece of technology that they may not even know they need. The target audience for this blog is any individual who is interested in the consumer technology space and is either interested in learning about lesser known consumer technology or wants to feel like they have been presented with the necessary information to make an informed decision when purchasing a product.

    Instructions:
When I envision the logo, I'm would love something that's modern, sophisticated and sleek with clean lines. Given that name of the blog is "Missing Piece", I would love if the logo could somehow play on that name (i.e. the i's in "Missing" are gone/shaded out, a portion of the logo is missing, etc.) - without it coming across as gimmick-y. I'm a big fan of using blues (particularly a rich and deep navy, a paler and light blue), slivers/grays, white and/or any warm tones that might match well with the aforementioned colors although I'm open to other color schemes. Ideally, I would love for this logo to give the impression of sophistication and professionalism so that readers feel like they can trust the information shared in this blog while simultaneously invoking a warm and inviting feeling. Technology can come across as cold/stark and I don't want my readers to get that impression about my blog. I've attached two images of my "best effort" attempts at drafting a logo. I'm not particularly attached to any of these ideas - these are some initial thoughts from a novice :)
