- Logo Name:
- My Software Tutor
- Company Intro:
- We will provide live, online software training (via Zoom) for adults (mostly ages 35-60/high school degrees, less likely college educated) who have had limited/no experience using core programs like Microsoft Excel, PPT and Word. They may have lost their job due to the pandemic and recognize the need to re-train themselves going forward. We are NOT focused on teaching kids/teens nor will will teach more advanced uses of these programs. Each course will be one or two sessions max. Class size will be small.
- Instructions:
- We want to communicate three elements to our potential customers; knowledge, professionalism and compassion. If you Google "software tutor," the results are pretty generic and cold. There isn't much that speaks to those who see themselves as somewhat more technically challenged. Our target audience has less comfort with computers and tends to be intimidated by programs that are unfamiliar. We want to be seen as a trusted resource that will take care of them rather than by-the-numbers taskmasters. We want to reach those people who prefer to learn from a human being in real time rather than simply watch YT videos and attempt to figure things out. That said, the sample logos we chose above specifically DO NOT incorporate characters or mascots (too childlike). Also note where graphic elements are used, they tightly integrate into the name as opposed to a separate element. The hero element of our company is the name itself - My (personalizes the experience) Software (defines the focus) Tutor (a tutor typically provides instruction in a small group.). Where an identifying element is appropriate (for example for a watermark or social media icon), the graphic element could be used. We tend towards font driven logos (that complement basic fonts like Arial, Calibri, Times, etc) so it's easy to create additional elements as needed. Palatte-wise, we're open to your input. Finally, we identified above choosing lighter weight logos (although not a requirement) given they tend to be cleaner especially since there are three words in our name.
