We are a non-profit organization that provides free legal education, advice and representation to migrant workers in British Columbia, Canada. We are also engaged in public legal education and law and policy reform initiatives. We also work to connect migrant workers with other supports they may need. We work with migrant workers who come to Canada to work in low-wage jobs, such as in-home caregiving for children, the elderly and people with disabilities or high medical needs, agricultural workers, and workers in the service and hospitality industries. These workers are marginalized because they have temporary immigration status and face barriers to accessing their employment and human rights. We work to empower these workers to advocate for themselves and for other migrant workers. We are the only organization in British Columbia that provides specialized services and advocacy to migrant workers.
