Creative Brief: Marais Polo Patterns (Marais does not need to be in the logo)

Brand: Marais (pronounced mah-ray)
Identity: Premium outdoor lifestyle apparel brand inspired by the marsh, hunting, fishing, golf, and everyday Southern culture. Think of a blend between Rhoback, Peter Millar, Johnny-O — but with our own Louisiana/Gulf Coast identity.

Goal for Patterns:
Create clean, modern, repeating patterns for men’s golf polos. The look should be subtle enough to wear on and off the course, but unique enough to stand out as Marais.

STYLE NOTE:

Clean, minimal, premium look (avoid clutter or cartoonish styles).

Patterns should use 1–3 colors for fabric printing versatility.

Inspiration: Rhoback’s geometric/animal repeats, Peter Millar’s playful golf/lifestyle icons, Johnny-O’s balance of fun + classy.

Lifestyle + Golf Motifs to Explore:

Golf Icons: tees, balls on tees, flags, scorecards, crossed clubs.

Fun Lifestyle Touches: cigars, cocktails (old fashioned, martini), iced tea glasses, crawfish pots, bourbon bottles.

Southern/Natural: pelicans, magnolia blossoms, cypress trees, oyster shells, shrimp, herons, crawfish, shrimp, crabs, ducks, marsh animals. USE THE STATE OF LOUISIANA TOO 

Marsh/Wildlife: teal feathers, duck silhouettes, crawfish claws, cattails, smooth cordgrass, rice stalks.

Deliverables & Requirements:

At least 3 pattern options to start.

Each pattern provided in color and black & white versions.

Delivered in vector format (AI, SVG, EPS).
