Feral to Forever Cat Rescue aims to reduce the overpopulation of cats in Chatham-Kent and the suffering of outdoor cats through TNR (trap, neuter, return) efforts as well as the intake of stray cats and litters of owned kittens. Feral to Forever Cat Rescue also aims to ensure any mother cat of kittens taken into the rescue is spayed so that the cycle does not continue. Feral to Forever Cat Rescue aims to find safe, loving homes for cats of all backgrounds, including feral cats that can be transitioned from colonies to indoor homes.
The rescue will also advocate for more TNR support from the local municipal government. The rescue will provide educational resources to cat owners and colony caretakers with the goal of controlling the cat population.
Feral to Forever Cat Rescue is a non-profit organization, dependent upon private donations to fund rescue efforts.
Feral to Forever Cat Rescue's target audience is cat owners, cat lovers and supporters of animal rescue. This audience can range in age from children to seniors of any economic background.
