Soccer team looking to redesign current emblem to improve identity. Known locally as "El Ciclón del Golfo" (The Cyclone of the Gulf). Club participates in a league of 10 teams.
Instructions：
Atletico Balboa is based in a seaport city (La Union) which seats on a gulf or bay, (surrounded by volcanic islands). A Nautical theme (Like the inception of a ship's steering whee or a compassl) as long as dynamic and bold yet fun woud be considered and or variation of current one. Emblem needs to look good on stationary, web, and on shirts and uniforms. Logo needs to be soccer related. Must use the words "Atletico Balboa" and "La Union". May use tagline "Ciclon del Golfo". Also, looking to have access to fonts used in design.

Hey guys, you are doing an excellent job!! Thanks. Would like to see as many variations as possible as well as the conceptios of other designers. I know it is a challenge but the winner will have the honor to design a logo for an El Salvador First Division Soccer Team.

i'm beginning to feel uneasy about the few entries my project has received. I know there is still time but I would like to see at least some preliminary entries from all these wonderful designers at 48hrs. I really like to see what all of you got. Show me please. Perhaps now that there is a little break from word cup play there will be more activity here. No to disrespect my first entrants, and I appreciate them for that, but I am also open to other innovative ideas...So come on folks, bring them on!!!

Ok, another day of soccer is over. Argentina and Germany advance. (Yesterday US was sent home unfortunately) Now its time for more of your ideas to help me finalize conception of our new identity. I have uploaded new illustrations (see above) of the shapes emblematic to our city and team (The volcano, the water). Remember we are called the Cyclones, typhoons, storms, however you want to call it. The idea of the soccer ball gehind the mountain and water (mountain and water colorized please) and perhaps stormy skies or lightening behind the soccer ball to suggest a storm is appealing. A shield is certainly appealing, perhaps set in front of a ship's steering wheel (metalized, with rivets..perhaps??) would suggest direction as well as identity with us being a seaport. I am stimulating more creative ideas so far? Please show me.
