Nelson Mandela said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” In this post I’m very excited to bring you 21 education logos that are helping educate and inform. All designs shown are original artwork and contest winners from 48hourslogo.com.
You’ll notice some similar themes running between the designs. That’s ok, because certain imagery is built up to remind us of lessons, being taught, and the personal growth that occurs as we learn. Books are the most prominent symbol of education, for the past few centuries they’ve been the main tool to share and disperse all varieties of knowledge. Second on the list are trees, representing growth and strength. Trees also give the impression that your child will be rooted and flourish. Graduation caps are popular for indicating college level education, as are columns and computers. Finally, for early education and pre-schools, you will notice a lot of bright color combinations that add fun and energy to their designs.

The BDTA is a group of dance studio owners and teachers who work together to promote dance in their community. They hold workshops, performances, and award scholarships. Located in Boise, which is know as the City of Trees.

Centering around the food and wine market in Asia, Forks & Glasses seeks to educate adults on how to enjoy wine with their food. They offer pairing tastings and dine out classes for those uninformed or too timid to try wine on their own. Forks and Glasses wants their audience to know there’s more to drink with their steaks besides water and soda!

The Foundation Academy is a school that offers International Syllabus Curriculum (O-Level and IGCSE) to students between the ages of twelve and sixteen. This academy acts as a fast track for students to attend colleges and universities located overseas.

Beyond demonstrating good design elements in logo design, I hope these logos inspire you with their purpose.
