In recent years, we see another popular logo design option emerging called online logo makers. There are lots of logo maker websites popping up on the Internet and each one claiming to be the best. We decided to do a comparison test by providing the same input and see which logo generator can produce the best results.

For our logo design challenge, we decided to create a logo named “Smart Logo Maker”. We will enter the same information into each logo maker and who produces the best results

Logo design creativity
One of the most important aspects of any logo maker is design creativity. After entering the logo name and selecting design preferences, we are presented with a bunch of logo design ideas that we can further customize. So let’s have a look of design concepts presented by each logo maker website.
LogoAi: this ai logo maker generated some interesting design options. From the screenshot above, we can see the logo name is optimized with a slogan using different fonts. Besides the basic logo layout, it is able to substitute letters and adding special backgrounds. It is also the only generator that produced colored logo symbols.

Wix: The popular website builder also provides a logo maker. From the screenshot above, we feel the overall design creativity is lacking with poor font selection and questionable design icons.

Looka: This logo maker created some interesting gradient color options and also has an easy icon-search capability. However, the overall logo layout option is limited with symbols be either on the top or left of the logo name.

Brandmark: This logo maker provided a wide range of color options. Some interesting design concepts were created by substituting a letter with a matching design icon.

SmashingLogo: The logo customization feature is seriously lacking for this logo tool. The only thing you can change is the logo color. For any additional change, you will have to connect with one of their human designer which cost additional money.

The Winner is
We spend about 15 minutes on each logo maker in order to produce the best-looking design. After that, we did a round of voting by asking 10 people in our office. 7 out of 10 picked the following design as the winner for our logo maker challenge.
This winning design is from LogoAi. By substituting the letter “s” with a symbol, this design looks clean and professional.

In our logo challenge, the winning design is from LogoAi which also has the highest overall score.
This result is based on one single test and our ratings are also subjective. Our goal is to show you the options and results from our experience with 5 different logo makers. Also, we didn’t cover pricing for each tool because they are pretty close. Online logo makers are probably the most affordable logo design options If you are able to find a design that you like.
