Here is a description of the event:
The YWCA Monterey County’s 5th Annual "Harvest of Care" fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16th, at Del Tierra Vineyards tasting room in Carmel-By-the-Sea. Benefiting the confidentially-located Lawson Safehouse, the event features a Women in Food five-course tasting menu paired with fine wines of Del Tierra Vineyards.
"This event was conceived because women are typically the primary supporters of women's issues," says Judy Garrison, President of the YWCA Monterey County Board of Directors.
Each year, five women chefs come together to donate their time and efforts to benefit the YWCA’s Safehouse, where victims of domestic violence and their children can find refuge, lodging and safety.
