Chrysea is developing healthy-ageing interventions based on advanced and functional nutritional supplementation approaches, taking full advantage of its vast and unique pipeline of small-molecule products. We want to change the shift of focus from “disease”, to “function” and/or “capacity”. Instead of diagnosing diseases at a point in time, trajectories across an individual and eventually populations life-course, are being addressed as to delay the onset of certain age/related diseases. More specifically in situations where the process of autophagy plays a beneficial and an anti-ageing role. Based on its synthetic biology platform, Chrysea develops naturally occurring small-molecule compounds and their production routes, which can impact the consumer health market but also play a potential role in addressing unmet needs associated to age-related diseases. Ultimately Healthy-Ageing should be a goal for all stages in life. Our mission is to optimise the quality and capabilities of living such that final years are not faced with unnecessary deterioration and trepidation, but rather being able to act on anticipation as to make people active contributors to society.
