Minus & Associates Insurance is an indepedent insurance agency owned by Reginald Minus for more than 25 years serving the DC, MD, VA, and PA regions with flexible and affordable options in Home / Auto / Life / Business / Events insurance. Minus & Associates Insurance offers all of the security MINUS all of the hassle. One key benefit of going through an independent agent (vs going directly to Progressive, State Farm, etc) is that an independent agent can look across many different insurance providers to find you the best insurance package to meet your unique circumstances - ex. A Small Business Owner who has difficulty getting insurance because their company hasn't been in business very long or a Vintage Car owner who would like special insurance on their Vintange Show Car.

    Instructions
I'm looking for a logo that looks distinguished and a bit conservative (ie safe), which also highlights some of the unique benefits of going with an independent agent -- flexibility of options, going across multiple providers. As a bonus if there is a way to incorporate some of the key types of insurance into the logo that would be nice as well (Home/Auto/Life/Business/Events). This part would need to be optional, as we would not want to show that extra information in some cases.

One thing that I would like designers to keep in mind is that although Minus & Associates provides flexible options for all types of insurance, the largest group of customers for Minus & Associates is small businesses rather than individuals. It would be great to see some logos that showcase this niche specialization.

I'm also interested in seeing how the logo might look on a business card or as a letterhead.

is there anything visually that you can do to show that concept of "many flexible options". The key benefit is that as an independent agent, Minus & Associates can cover many different insurance options instead of going with a single insurance provider.

We are thinking about adding the word Brokerage to the title in the logo. Minus & Associates Insurance Brokerage instead of Minus & Associates Insurance, Inc. It would be good to see each as an alternative.

A few more thoughts on the commercial aspect of the business. Minus & Associates sells the following policies under Commercial Insurance: General Liability, Professional Liability, Commercial Property, Bonds, Group Health, and Commercial Vehicles (ie Trucks and Buses) .... some simple iconic ways of representing this commercial part of the business might be "Suit & Tie", "Briefcase with Dollar Sign". It would be great to see other ideas for ways to represent this very important part of the business.
