Hey there ! We are looking for the right logo and font for our charity-based app either going to be called HAALO or CHARIOT. Regardless, the logo will work for both. As for HAALO, think outside the box and not just draw a halo, although some derivative of that could work, but think donation/helping/philanthropy/giving aid/connecting people-the world/connecting all of us etc ... 
 
we like the font simplicity of zynga, Vine, Uber, Amazon, WWF (with the panda), 
 
also like spacing out the letters like H A A L O 
 
something interwoven in the letters like Amazon does with the arrow is also interesting, to mix in with the right font 
 
so we&#39;ll use a pure simple font for the name on top of the app that stays there most of the time, and then a more defined logo for branding on the splash page and embedded on websites/marketing materials etc .. a simple square design 
 
Overall I&#39;d start with something tech-y and monochromatic. Or two colors, something really simple like Target, Cisco, ABC, Dropbox, IBM, UPS, 
 
perhaps a big square of some color and the font/negative space design in white..literally that simple. As a starting point. But we&#39;re completely open to ideas, any and all. But desire a logo that on quick glance you get it&#39;s about giving, philanthropy etc ..
