UPDATE: A lot of the entries so far are too bright and colorful. If you look below at the helpful images / sketches, you&#39;ll see a Ford article that has colors that I like (though I don&#39;t care for the baseball and horse). 
 
ALSO: I&#39;d really like to see a torch image. I&#39;ll delete one of the images below and add a torch that is similar to what I have in mind.

This is a total rebranding. I will probably put the business name in Helvetica or something similar next to the logo, so working the name into the logo is not a priority. I want something that has some sort of artistic flair (such as origami or mosaic), but is not so detailed that the idea is lost when the logo is small (like on the website). The website will likely be pretty minimalist, with a white background, black and greyscale elements, and neutral stock images (something like Barossa). The logo can be the splash of color, but not too much. 
 
::edit:: I want to stay away from obvious writing symbols, like pens, quills, word bubbles, quote marks.
