The logo is going to be used as a shop sign (on white backing), which will be in chrome (like 1st attached photo) with a fluorescent pink light or a UV light (or both) behind or around it. 
 
It will also be used on promotional posters, flyers, business cards, gift vouchers and on the website. 
 
Although there will be a pink fluorescent/uv light or both behind the sign, the logo still has to stand out on it&#39;s own. 
 
I like the idea of putting a lipstick as the &#39;i&#39;, lips above the &#39;i&#39; or using both. 
 
I also like the idea of having font only, and having these at the top right hand corner, or somewhere else integrated into the logo, even just one or the other. 
 
It has to be eye catching. I like the idea of using a coca cola type font, or block/bubble. 
 
For colours, I like the idea of having chrome, light pink/fuschia/a colour that looks uv or a few of these. I&#39;m not sure if this would work if the sign is chrome above the shop, and whether it would be better as a black/grey font for the promotional materials with colours in it somewhere. 
 
I LOVE the use of metallic looks in fonts too. I would actually prefer a metallic silver font to be used if it looks expensive enough and is done right. 
 
I&#39;ve also been considering having &#39;hair, beauty &amp; makeup studio&#39; or &#39;hair beauty, makeup under the initial logo &#39;lipstick&#39; in a smaller font. 
 
I have attached some other images of whites/metallics/pinks/uv decor to give an idea of the type of colours that will be used in the salon.
