A vibrant, fun, dynamic symbol with a classy font to make for a great logo with sophistication. 
 
I like the colors and symbols of the Santa Monica and Crist Family logos below. I like how the &quot;Active&quot; does something clever with the letter &quot;A&quot; but that is not necessary. 
 
The word &quot;Amazement&quot; should be emphasized over the words &quot;The&quot; and &quot;Society&quot;. Not sure about font - modern/sans serif or elegant/script or serif. The letter &quot;A&quot; may want to be emphasized - not sure though. 
 
Update: 
I think using a capital &#39;A&#39; and lowercase &quot;mazement&quot; would be best, or at least a larger A than &quot;mazement&quot;. Also, perhaps a solid blue color like &quot;The Santa Monica&quot; in the attachments. 
 
Update 2: 
Perhaps a symbol to the left of the name instead of on top? I added some more samples from the gallery. I like the sophistication of the Wharton Wine Club and the symbols of the others. Also made &quot;Typography&quot; one of the three styles. 
 
Update 3: 
I&#39;m going for a script font at least for the word &quot;Amazement&quot; with the A the larger than &quot;mazement&quot;. Also, I would characterize the symbol I&#39;m looking for as an abstract, colorful, &quot;swirly burst&quot; - much like in the Santa Monica example.
