Keep California Farming
This is a very important political campaign to help raise public awareness regarding the fact that the majority of farmers in California are currently being forced to shut down their farms due to the fact that the government has taken away the allotment of water they are allowed to farm with. Some Facts We Will be Exposing: - California is the 5th largest supplier of food to the WORLD - Farming is a $36.6 billion dollar a year industry for California. - Last year farmers shut down 25% of their farms. By the end of 2013 that is expected to double. - This has caused a 40% unemployment rate in Fresno county alone. - Food in the United States will increasingly come from Mexico and China where Americans will no longer have any voice over the regulations of that food. - Thousands will lose their jobs. - The price of fresh food in California has already become vastly more expensive and will continue to sky rocket as more farms continue to shut down. The repercussions of this are DEVASTING not just for California but for every American in the United States.- $150
