Something that will do well on T-shirts, mugs, etc. Probably 1 color being black.

I like the idea of trees since this community is in a forested area. A bonus would be perhaps a dragon. Not something menacing but maybe a shadow in the sky or reflected on the ground.  Also a consideration might be something to signify a firefighter as long as the logo doesn't get too busy looking.

I like the simplicity of the one I attached to give you an idea.
