Culture Collage is a multi-dimensional intercultural learning program. The primary goal is to build intercultural awareness in grade 3 students by offering a series of workshops facilitated by international students studying at Vancouver Island University (VIU). A secondary goal is to provide the international VIU students the opportunity to participate in intercultural training and to develop their facilitation and presentation skills, as well as share their stories with the community. A final goal is to provide an opportunity for domestic VIU students completing their final practicum in the Post-Baccalaureate Bachelor of Education Degree to facilitate a structured unit on intercultural learning, working with the visiting international students and providing complementary lessons to the workshops.

    Instructions:
    Identity - Connection - Culture: A key outcome of the Culture Collage program is to help all participating students develop personal and cultural identity, as well as connect with each other. Since this program will be marketed to three different audiences (elementary school children/parents; VIU international students; VIU Education students) the logo needs to be intriguing enough for children, but mature enough for university-aged students. The logo must also use a clear font to support possible second-language learners.
