DESIGNS (56)
- Logo Name:
- Turquoise Trashqueen
- Company Intro:
- Off-price retailer of overstock and off-season prom dresses and formal gowns
- Instructions:
- To start with the obvious - Turquoise! The color is embedded into every facet of the business. The more retro colors (mainly pink coral but also seafoam green, orange, red) are what I was also looking to use to help communicate a "retro southwestern pinup" feel. I understand that logos within the realm of designer dress boutiques incorporate a dress therein, but I was looking to deviate from that and cultivate a brand independent of the product itself (of course still give that "everyone deserves to be a queen" vibe, hence the crown). I aspire to have photos of models in the dresses but within a contrasting environment, such as having an old turquoise '57 Chevy in a field or hanging out of the door of a vintage Airstream trailer (just because it's past season doesn't mean it's lost its beauty!). The reason for the Thunderbird or Peyote Bird is more personal, as this business was born during a very difficult time, so for me it represents the Rising Phoenix and the serape color subset represents a new day. Plus, whenever one thinks of "turquoise" the thunderbird is just a skip away.
