BRIEF
DESIGNS (146)
- Logo Name:
- 2Brews
- Company Intro:
- Beverage industry brand manufacturing coffee and tea for sale to consumers.
- Instructions:
- This contest is for a logo of a beverage industry brand, initial submissions may be line art concepts. These words should convey the feeling of your design: casual, warm, eco-friendly, healthy, relaxing, trustworthy, comfort. We require a logo for a new brand that sells coffee and tea. Understand the duality of this brand concept and convey it in your submissions. The name of the brand is 2Brews. Logo should be comprised of text and graphical elements. The graphical portion should immediately convey the idea that it represents both the coffee and tea industries. If you incorporate color, it should convey warmth, relaxation and trust. The graphical portion should stand on its own. Designs using negative space and non-obvious elements hidden in the design will be given extra consideration. You MAY submit a typographical design combining both text and graphics. Your concepts MAY incorporate a tag line that you create. Submitting multiple concepts will increase your chances of choosing one your designs. Vector art will be required. IMPORTANT: You must be able to convey legal rights to your FINAL design, with the ability for us to register a USA trademark.

- DThere are some nice submissions coming in. Remember contestants, logos need to be identifiable and unique and they are often reproduced on white /light backgrounds and in small sizes, such as business cards or product packaging. That means that intricate design does not translate well and becomes a muddied jumble. Conversely, the simple 2Brews text in a box will not be chosen, as it needs to be fresh and interesting. That would be something that I could have done. Try to think like a coffee or tea drinker and give us a design that would make you compelled to try us and catch your eye in passing it on a shop window or one that you would remember seeing on the bus. That's the winner. I already gave direction as to a few ways this could be accomplished in the brief. The goal is "VISUALLY REMEMBERABLE", it burns into the viewers brain. LOL, have fun with this, nothing stiff and corporate.
- DWe're seeing some use of color and gradients! :) Shading and highlights on some designs. Those add dimension. Some of these are popping off the page. Good job folks. Plain brown and green are cliche. We certainly don't want to be boring. We're not afraid of some color, as long as it still reproduces in black/white. Thanks, Dan
- DThank you to all the many designers that have provided submissions. The vast majority of them were high quality and well-thought out work. Most of you have obviously read the brief and attempted to comply with many, if not all the wishes. We appreciate all of the time, effort and imagination. This will indeed be a difficult choice to pick winner from so many beautiful options. The best luck to you all in your lives. Warm Regards, Dan
