    Logo Name
    Pete Collins
    Company Intro
Job title is - "Freelance Dubbing Mixer & Sound Editor" or "Dubbing Mixer" or "Audio Post Production".
    Instructions
I have mixed sound for television and film for 20 years. I have many long standing clients who are very familiar with media and graphics. I would like a friendly, open and professional looking logo to brighten up my letterheads, invoices and business card. It must incorporate my name, job title and hopefully integrate some kind of abstract audio motif. I have imagined the name to look like a signature to make the logo more personable. It should be very similar in style and form to the one in the sample image but tidied up and polished to look like real hand writing. This is probably the key to the whole design. The job title should preferably use a complimentary 'printed' font - my favorites so far are Adobe Garamond Pro or Palatino. The name should be largest element but should be in proportion to the job title so that both can be read easily when scaled up or down. The abstract audio motif should work with or around the signature/job title, not completely separate from them. It should not feature too heavily, maybe using lighter/complimentary colors. In this case the sample images are purely for inspirational purposes only. I would like to use an abstract audio wave (or waves) motif but realize this idea is very obvious and so has to be used either very differently or very subtly/subliminally to stand out in an overcrowded market place. If not waves I like the idea of ovals, circles or ripples to give a whole/unified, balanced or broadcast look - but again needs to be done subtly and intelligently. The overall impression should be timeless, friendly and quietly confident. It should not seem arrogant, egotistical, gimmicky or flashy. It should look more artistic than technical. Many thanks for all your submissions.

Wonderful! Thank you for so many comments. I hope that through conversation we will be able to work together to come up with exactly what you are looking for :)

On that note, I have added #12 which, I feel, makes better use of your signature, to better fit the description. If you'd like any changes, or still would like something different entirely, just ask :)

Hi Andrew, thanks for your revisions - you are moving in the right direction and i can see you are taking the comments on board.

As you can tell I have already done quite a bit of work on this myself to narrow down all the possibilities but I also do not want to stifle creativity and am looking for some one to take the work 'to the next level'.

I think the wave motif behind the lettering in #12 & #14 is just too literal and will always interfere too much with the lettering. Also since the waves run out to the sides it means the logo will need some kind of border whereas I really want it to stand alone. Could you have a go at free-styling some waves around the typography ? Or maybe some oval/circular/ ripple motif ?

The basic form of the typography is ok but I think the job title needs to be bigger and maybe a different color to differentiate it more from the signature ?

    Thanks, Pete.

Hi guys, thank you for all your work and submissions.

Just like to say that I realize my job title is a bit of a handful...If you are having problems with it please try just "Dubbing Mixer" or "Audio Post Production".

    Many thanks, Pete.
