THE LOOK I NEED: modern, relevant, connect to high school students
TEXT: "The Dive" to be the main text; very simple text
ICON / SYMBOL: I'd like the icon to eventually stand alone and represent our events brand
SAMPLES: Icons in the samples represent the style we're looking for. (Please ignore the actual words in the sample images I've provided)
DON'T WANT: anything "religious", "churchy", or that references "water, aqua, diving, etc."
INSPIRATION: Here are two definitions of "Dive" that may inspire you are:
"a sudden movement in a specified direction"
"a nightclub or bar"

Hi!
First of all, sorry for the delay, I really wanted to finished these revisions faster, but I wasn't home today, also really appreciate all your feedback and comments helping me to make a logo that match your style and preferences.
I just submitted 8 revisions, different versions and arranges of the design. I didn't waste the time with the colors, it's really a questions of 5 minutes work. I can make my final version after you choose which one you like the best.

Gery - we're loving the logo! Quick question: I'm trying to use a font in some marketing materials that is similar to or resembles the font you used for the "THE DIVE" text in the logo.
Did you use a specific font? Or could you suggest a font that I could use that would look very similar?
