- Logo Name:
- The SAFETY Study (or drop the "the" if it looks better)
- Company Intro:
- SAFETY stands loosely for "Safe-guarding the homes of ER-Treated Youth in Crisis" Or a shorter version is "Home safety for youths in crisis"<br>This is a study taking place in Colorado hospital emergency departments to learn how to counsel parents of kids seen in the ER for a suicide attempt or other psychiatric crisis how to protect their children by storing any household guns and toxic medications away from their child's access.
- Instructions:
- This is an academic study (Harvard, Northeastern University, and Colorado School of Public Health) taking place when an adolescent is seen in the ER for a suicide attempt, psych crisis, or drug overdose --- so the subject is a serious one. The idea is to talk with parents about storing any household guns away from home while their child is at heightened risk of suicide or, second best, to lock the guns in such a way that the child can have no access, and to lock up toxic medications. So we want to project an air of serious, caring, safety-oriented scientific inquiry taking place in a health setting. We don’t want this to have an anti-gun feel. An image of a gun safe might work fine. <br>Hmm. Come to think of it: calling this The SAFER Study where the ER letters have a different tone so that people connect that it’s about safety and ERs – that could work well. Go with either The SAFETY Study or The SAFER Study.<br>

After I wrote the logo name, The SAFETY Study, I had added this parenthetical statement: (or drop the "the" if it looks better). Wish I hadn't done that; I didn't realize that it would appear everywhere as the title of the context. It's in a field that I can't edit. Could you please go into that field and delete the parentheses and all the words inside them? Thank you.
