local radio station

We are looking for a logo for a performance space that we are building which will be used for performances by musicians and interviews with local sports figures. It will be an intimate setting and only seat about 80 people. Performances and interviews will be streamed via the web. The space will be called Up Close Studio, because it will bring you up close to the musicians and sports figures.

This logo will be used for sales and promotional pieces as well as shown on TVs prior to events. The logo should be modern & stylish, and neutral enough to be able to apply to both music as well as sports. If possible, we would like the finished format to be delivered in the normal formats (.jpg, .png, .tiff, .ai…etc) but would also like to have a Photoshop file with the layers unflattened / un-merged so that we can edit the logo to include sponsorships when needed.

    Instructions
We are posting this contest again because it was lost in the website's problems recently. If you submitted a design before, PLEASE SUBMIT AGAIN!

EDIT : We are open to any ideas, but think modern and stylish in your design. NO ARROWS please. It is Up Close in proximity, not up in terms of direction.

INSPIRATION : Take a look at this segment of a promo video that we are working on for the space.
https://vimeo.com/177094778
(Keep in mind that the logo in the video was designed just as a placeholder for the final logo that will go there. Also, all images are from the internet and are being used as placeholders until we acquire footage of the space.)

A lot of the audio level bars in the logos are looking kinda small. Keep in mind that it will be seen on TVs and people may be viewing it from across the room and small audio bars will not be seen that easily.

Try to give the colors in the text some depth, either by some shading, or some highlights. A lot of what we are seeing looks a little flat.
