I have just started a start up; Campus Underground. Campus Underground is a social exploring app tailored specifically to American college students. The reason for "underground" is because it will be student run, a separate entitiy from the college, something with less rules. Our apps offer students a central resource to research college groups and communities as well as a clean and concise listing of events based on user preferences.
As such our logo should be clean and simple. We would like our logo to reflect a fun collegiate theme ie: collegiate: fonts, team logos, and bold text based logos offer. We would like the logo to be round, like a badge and easily readable/recognizable as it will also be used as a mobile application shortcut.
We realized that large colleges have a ton of organizations and even more events, we are trying to brigde this gap with our app.

Instructions：
If the logo could be designed in such a way that “Campus” in “Campus Underground” could be easily changed with a 2 or 3 letter abbreviation it would be a fantastic plus. As we might tailor the logo the college that is using it, eg: UB Underground, OSU Ungerground, FSU Undgerground.
If possible also, I would like the image to be in PSD format with layers still active.

The attached image is just something i put together on powerpoint, trying to evoke a college campus feeling.
And the selected colours above are not something you have to adhere to, it's just along the idea of keeping it American themed.
