Company Services/Background: We are a new business offering dog daycare & at-home dog boarding. For the dog daycare, it’s a similar model to a child daycare –clients drop their dog off, & pick them up at a later time. The dog boarding is generally for extended stays (while people are on vacation, away for the weekend, etc.) where they will be cared for through the night as well. The focus for both services will be that the dogs will be exercised, socialized, mentally & physically stimulated during the day, & kept safe & sound at night for those who choose boarding. So when the owners pick them up, they are tired & content. We will be offering that “in home” feel, as the dogs will be with us, in our own home for the first phase of the business. Our intention is to expand after the first year, so we would like to have a logo that can grow with us. Target Market: Our target market is working professionals (lawyers, accountants, etc.), ages 30-60; although there will be many clients who fall outside of this market such as stay-at-home moms & those who just want the best for the pets, no matter their income. We want all to be impressed by our company image.

    Instructions
    Usage: We need a logo for our company, from which we will derive our branding for our website, advertisements, car magnets, colour theme, etc. Business name: Pooched! Inc. – Please do not include the “inc.” unless it directly contributes or enhances the design; however, we would prefer it not to be included. Also, the exclamation point “!” is indeed part of our legal name, so please include this if using the name within the logo, as it is an attempt at portraying personality. The meaning behind “pooched” is the idea that you dog will go home “pooched” –in other words very tired –after spending the day at our facility. Preferred Colours: We want to give creative freedom in terms of colours & brightness. We’re very open-minded & do not want to limit creativity. We absolutely love colour, but also really love & can appreciate boldness that comes from neutral hues as well. General Vision: We’re on the fence as to our logo ‘feel’. In our type of business, I think playfulness & fun provides comfort, but again, we love clean, professional/ sophisticated , sharp images as well. Sleek & modern also has its appeal & is almost unexpected within our industry, which creates interest. That might be something to play with? Overall, simplicity summarizes our tastes well, coupled with boldness. Feel free to play with lower/upper case letters if choosing to incorporate the company name into the logo. For some reason we like when company logos have their name all in lower case, but again, we want to see a variety of ideas. With this in mind, we’re open to exploring the option of using the company name or just creating a simple image to represent the company (with no words). Although we want playful, we’ve seen a lot of cheap looking, over-the-top cartoony logos that seem overly common & expected. We’re open to most everything as long as it’s tasteful & professional in appearance.
