This is an event taking place in Brooklyn NY. the focus of the event is everything about geek culture. Video Games, Comics, Toys, music. we will be hosting tournaments and give-aways
I will be advising people how to get the most out of their folding bike.
I am a small business that sells products aimed at gamers and geeks of all sorts. It is a changing product depending on what is hot at the moment. It is a co-business with a card and comic shop. So it is all sorts of crafts, keychains, bags, shirts, and themed food items. Starwars, harry potter, ninjas, mario, pokemon, video games, magic. All things geek. So nerdy glasses type stuff.
Smart Phones and tablets accessories ( covers, portable chargers, headphones ..etc..)
I have a Business of creating custom Decals for cars, Business windows, Yeti mugs, Wall Decor .. and the possibilities go on.
I Don't like the Logo I have I feel it looks like I sell childrens furniture. A majority of what I make is considered Nerdy or Geeky as I Very often Rent booths at Cons (in full cosplay Of course!) And that seems to be where much of my income comes from. I feel the Logo I have currently doesn't see to that market of people.
In the photos I have added My original Logo, A quick snip of one of Con display board so you can see what it is I do. And so were not strangers me on my Car with a new decal.
Geek/alternative merchandise business. Product range primarily clothing and clothing accessories with pop culture themes such as superheroes etc and also alternative style clothing lines.

N.B. A very similar contest has been posted under the name 'click' although we probably prefer 'invent' so are posting a separate contest here for this new product name. Of course we'll be awarding the contest prizes to both separately even though we'll only use one of them.
We're developing a new product called invent (maybe with an exclamation mark after it - we haven't decided). It's sort of a 'Lego for geeks'. The modules click together and it's designed to be simple to use for beginners but sophisticated enough for more advanced users to create some really interesting projects and inventions (hence the name!). We've put more information about it here: www.lightboxdesigns.com. If it helps to know, most of the modules are small and square (but with rounded corners) and have four 'pegs' (one in each corner) - which provide the mechanism for them to click into the base boards which are colourful (made of fluorescent edge-glow acrylic). N.B. We don't necessarily expect this shape to be incorporated in the logo unless it really inspires you!
We are a mostly online based company selling tshirts and vinyl decals amongst other things with a geeky/fandom theme, as well as custom designs. Our facebook is www.facebook.com/robotzombieuk if you would like to get a feel for our products.
AALSO: Aquatic Animal Life Support Operators. We are a bunch of Zoo and Aquarium water quality (chemists) and life support (mechanical engineering) geeks. Life support is the pumps, filter and equipment the keeps the water clean for the animals. We focus on how to care for animals that live in or around water. For example: fish, sharks, octopus, seals, otters, elephants...any animal that has water as part of their enclosure. Our goal is to better our trade. This logo will be for our annual symposium and workshops and will be in St Louis in 2017 in association with the St Louis Zoo.
We are a Auto Broker, attached is our logo with a white backround. I want the same exact logo but to have a black backround. Please be creative how we can use the colors or change them around to recreate the same logo but with a black backround.

We are going to be launching a product called "LabShark" very soon and we would like to solicit some logo designs for the same!
Lab Shark is a packet modification tool, with a customer base of network engineers across the world. We are a startup still with lots of learning ahead of us and we are looking to launch very soon with a fun yet geeky logo representing our product.
For some ideas , you can refer to https://www.wireshark.org/ and https://www.wizshark.net/. Most of them seem to be using the "Shark fin" as a key component in the logo design, but you aren't restricted to that!
I am not a designer, but I sometimes think the logo could be a creative representation of a shark fin along with a shark taking a bite out of a packet. Please feel free to give this logo design your own spin and I would love to see your ideas!
Please feel free to contact me for any more info about the product.
I am looking for 2 versions of the same logo - 1 with just the logo image to be used as an icon and the other with the logo and the wordings "LabShark" with it.
EDIT: Designers, just a random thought! To give you more ideas, I was thinking of a logo having a smiling shark baring all it's teeth with nerdy glasses and lab coat/t-shirt (indicating it works in a lab). I would love to see your versions of this or any other ideas that you have!

Locate Conferences Pty Ltd is being established to run a location-based themed event. This concept has broad-ranging support from the key bodies representing public, commercial, research, education and professional interests within the spatial community in Australia and New Zealand.
LOCATE is the name of the new event bringing together a number of annual spatial conferences, including spatial@gov® and the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Conference (SSSC). The event will be held either annually or biennially, with the first scheduled for April 2014.
Location information can be applied across a broad range of sectors, including health, communications, natural resources, mining, business, land administration, finance, insurance, climate change, space, and more. Essentially, the target audience could literally be anyone who needs an answer to a “where” type question.
The audience is broad ranging from senior executive, decision-makers to general users, domain specialists and geeks. People who create and/or use location-based information and services, including thought leaders, senior executives in the private and public sectors, business intelligence, information and communications executives and experts, spatial and surveying professionals, academics, standards experts, etc.
While the spatial industry is not necessarily recognised by mainstream communities; spatial information and capabilities are being used by anyone with access to the internet (even if they are unaware of this). People want to know where things are located, how to get from one place to the next. Google has probably contributed the most of any organisation to ‘democratising’ spatial in recent times; and anyone with access to the Internet and mobile devices is using it.
The application of location-based information (also referred to as place, geographic and/or spatial) and capabilities can be applied to all sectors; and can be viewed as an enabler; in much the same way as ICT. We are looking to expand beyond our traditional audience to a more mainstream audience (not just an event organised by spatial for spatial professionals).
I am after a logo based on the Ghost Busters Idea, with the Ghosts head coming out of the circle. I was thinking maybe though that the circle could be the star from my show logo.
i would like a cartoon like the cartoon attached below to replace the ghost.. but for it to be coming out of the circle/star like the ghost buster designs. It needs to have a sense of perspective though, like I am coming out of the circle/star
Colours should ultimately be based on the orginal logo but also the ghost busters theme.
The text needs to say "Who Ya Gonna Call" and then below the image "James Bustar"
The logo should try and use limited colours, but still be colourful if that makes sense...
The logo needs to be fashionable, eventually with plans for it to go onto merchandise etc. Use the ideas I have mentioned, but try your own ideas too!
Heres some ideas for inspiration;
My website is jamesbustar.com so you can see images of what I do etc and get more ideas.
No Ghost Theme.. Its to be based on the stylings, but not ghosts..

It's a crafts business involving knitted and crocheted goods. It's a combination of commission work (mainly cosplay pieces) and items sold through an online store. It's a one-person business and everything is made by me.
The name comes from those short blurbs teachers put on grade school report cards like "plays well with others" or the less serious "runs with scissors".
Target group are teens to 40-somethings. I work with a lot of nerds and geeky types for commissions but the store is for a wider audience and does not necessary cater to geeks.
Wicked Geeks offers computer and web services to individuals and small businesses. We also want to show the public the fun side of geekdom through workshops revolving around interesting projects (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, programming, amateur radio, robotics, etc...)
