These are retail spice mixes (for home use, not restaurant use).

The logo needs to be simple. Very easy to read. Needs to stand out from the crowd. (No black backgrounds please.) 

Spice companies and their logos are dull and boring - and very red. WOW Spices needs to be colorful, maybe even whimsical. 

The logo has to POP because that's what the name of the company is - WOW Spices.

I would like to keep the background colors white or off white (like a light grey perhaps) 
the characters and color of the logo i think should be a deep blue - maybe the writing in black... 
anchor makes me think of deep blue because of the ocean, ships etc. 
-please stay away from too much of a cross-crucifix look 
I like a more classic logo, something that will be timeless and a font that isn't juvenile. 
Something that says, I've been doing this for a long time and I plan on continuing for a long time. 
But also gives a strong-secure feeling ? 

Colour pallette should be similar to my current logo - black/grey/white/gold

Black and white, must include trees/forest, river, mountain, ocean, flowers, sun, moon, and stars, and birds,  the state of Texas with an Erlenmeyer flask in it.  If any color, very light and simple.. think vintage National Parks posters. Earthy greens, aqua blues, muted yellow, rust orange.
