When I envision the logo, I'm would love something that's modern, sophisticated and sleek with clean lines. Given that name of the blog is "Missing Piece", I would love if the logo could somehow play on that name (i.e. the i's in "Missing" are gone/shaded out, a portion of the logo is missing, etc.) - without it coming across as gimmick-y. 

I'm a big fan of using blues (particularly a rich and deep navy, a paler and light blue), slivers/grays, white and/or any warm tones that might match well with the aforementioned colors although I'm open to other color schemes. Ideally, I would love for this logo to give the impression of sophistication and professionalism so that readers feel like they can trust the information shared in this blog while simultaneously invoking a warm and inviting feeling. Technology can come across as cold/stark and I don't want my readers to get that impression about my blog.

I've attached two images of my "best effort" attempts at drafting a logo. I'm not particularly attached to any of these ideas - these are some initial thoughts from a novice :)
