Your contest prize allows you to purchase ONE winning design from your contest. However as soon as you select a contest winner, you will see the options to buy other non-winning logos from their respective designers. The prices for additional logo purchase varies depending on the designers. Additional logo purchase are usually between $50 to $100 and include free design revisions. The process of finalizing the design and downloading the logo package file is the same as choosing the contest winner.
If you don’t see anything you like at the end of qualifying stage, you can choose one of two following options:
Re-list your contest
Re-listing your contest cost $19 and will open your contest again for 48 hours so you can receive fresh new designs. After re-listing your contest, you can also adjust your design brief to more accurately reflect your actual logo requirements.
Cancel and refund
Non-guaranteed contest started with initial listing fee
If your contest received less than 5 design submissions at the end of the qualifying stage, you can either request for a full refund of your listing fee or re-listing your contest for free.
Guaranteed contest with fully paid prize
If your contest received less than 10 design submissions at the end of the qualifying stage, you can also request for a full refund or re-listing your contest free of charge.

48hourslogo contest prize are divided into minimum($99), standard($148), and gold($198) levels. You can choose minimum prize level for simple logo requirement. But if you like to attract higher caliber designers, standard or gold prize level are more appropriate.

If you logo design require drawing of a character or mascot, it is highly recommend that you select the standard or gold prize level for your contest.
How to increase my contest prize
During the open qualifying stage, click on the “Increase prize” link on your contest page and choose desired option. If you qualifying stage has already ended, click on the “re-list contest” link and you will also see the option to increase your prize.
Note: “Increase contest prize” option is only available for guaranteed contests with prepaid contest prize.
After launching your logo design contest at 48hourslogo, your project will go through the following 3 stages before arriving at your final design.
1) Qualifying stage
During this stage, your contest is open to all registered designers. Based on your logo brief, designers will submit multiple logo concepts for you to choose from. Only contest owner can view the designs submitted during qualifying stage in order to provide feedback. Designers are not allowed to see each other’s submission in order to prevent design copying and also maximizing design creativity. The duration of the qualifying stage is between 1 to 7 days which can be set when creating the contest.
2) Design revisions stage
At the end of qualifying stage, you will be prompted to select up to 3 finalist designers to enter the “design revision stage”. During this stage, only your finalist designers are allowed to upload new designs. Also, designers are now able to see each other’s designs and continue make design improvements based on your feedback. You will have ONE week to work on the logo revisions before selecting a contest winner.
3) Finalizing stage
After selection your contest winner, you will work with your winning designer on finalizing your design. You can still request small changes and tweaks to your winning logo. When the design is finalized, your designer will upload a logo package file containing multiple file formats for your final design. Once you download and confirm the file, we will release the contest prize to the winning designer.
Obviously your contest prize level and whether it’s a guaranteed contest will have a big impact on designer participation. However, there are several other ways to attract more designers to join your contest.
Simplify your design brief
Designers will scan through design briefs and look for simple and easy ones to join. So keep that in mind when setting up your contest, and don’t forget to pick some sample designs your like from our gallery or upload any reference images or samples that you think will help designer understand your preference.
Provide direct feedback
Even if you don’t like a design, you can still provide some direct feedback and encourage designer to submit new concepts that’s closer to what you want.
Featured contests will be highlighted above our regular contests and making it more accessible to our designers. On average, featured contests receives about 25% more logo submissions.
Use designer invite
You can send a designer invite (with $5 bonus) to any of our top logo designers and asking him/her to join your contest.
Basically, while designers are competing in your contest, you are also competing with other contest holders for designer’s time and attentions. Besides contest prize, simple brief , active and friendly contest holder tend to attract more designers.
