Crisis, Crafts, and Cocktails

I have been a Lifestyle and Entertaining Expert for 12 years, doing segments on National television sharing tips, tricks (DIY), and products that I am passionate about. All of this time I have been mirroring the brand that Martha Stewart created, making things beautiful and throwing in things that make it accessible for the average viewer. After a lot of thought I realized that I was tired of the same video format, the same holidays, the same ideas reinvented, doing what everyone expected. One sunny day I was sitting on my deck this summer and contemplating my life, very confused about this new path I wanted to forge. I happened to be drinking a cocktail, and had the thought that people all over the world must be in a transition point, a mid-life “what the hell am I doing” moment and I bet most of them are drinking a glass of wine or a cocktail trying to figure it out. So, I decided to create a You Tube channel that would live under my existing brand that would broach these subjects, the crisis that we all deal with at one time or another, and pairing a cocktail with each crisis. I can’t avoid the craft piece of my brand because designing parties is what I am known for on tv, but with this new channel I want to show an edge. I want to throw out the traditional Kate Spade/Martha Stewart looking ideas, and shake the lifestyle and crafting world up. Crisis, Crafts, and Cocktails was born. This logo needs to look good on camera. It needs to say, you don’t have to perfect to throw a party and by the way we all suck at times, oh and there is always a cocktail to sip in any and all of these circumstances.

    Instructions
    Here is my overall brand logo, so whatever is created should tie into this as it could live on the same site, even if it is in color palette only. The color is HEX D11718. See above for the overall feel I am going for.
