    Logo Name
    Goal Cookie
    Company Intro
People set goals for themselves (lose wight, quit smoking, write their thesis paper, etc.) and then get rewards when they achieve their goals (cash, gift cards, etc.)
    Instructions
The most important uses for this logo are on the company's website and mobile app. I put a mockup of the website's signup page here: http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/~vieregg/GoalCookie.html What's Flexible: 1. The content of the logo. It should incorporate the name "Goal Cookie", but other than that, the content is completely open. (Note: "Goal Cookie" is two distinct words, not one.) 2. The color scheme. You'll notice the current scheme of the website is primarily blue backgrounds with orange highlights. That can be changed fairly easily. What's constrained: The aspect ratio and level of detail are the most important constraints to keep in mind. To see why, try resizing the webpage above with different sizes and aspect ratios and notice how the page responds. The idea is for everything to be legible and usable in devices of varied size and resolution, with aspect ratios ranging from 2:1 to 1:2. 1. Tiny details in the logo will be hard to make out on mobile devices, so keep that in mind. 2. The current layout calls for a logo that is wide and short (approx. 6.5:1). If you want to incorporate the slogan into the logo, that will allow a somewhat taller aspect ratio (approx: 4.4:1). If that's still too constraining for you, feel free to suggest alternatives (perhaps different logos and layouts for portrait vs. landscape), but we're probably somewhat biased towards keeping the layout as is. 3. Logo should be in SVG format. "Converting" to SVG from a raster format does not count. (e.g. Don't use Photoshop. Use a tool that deals with vector primitives instead of pixels, such as Illustrator or Inkscape or CorelDRAW.) Ideas: 1. The obvious idea is to incorporate a cookie into the logo (chocolate chip seems like the most recognizable variety). This is just a thought, not a requirement at all. 2. We would like the tone of the branding to strike a balance between playful and serious. We want to encourage hard work and making progress and achieving goals, but we want to do it in a way that is supportive and optimistic and positive. We want people to be happy to use our service because it helps them achieve, keeps them focused and motivated, helps them see the progress they're making, and rewards them for achievement. Kind of a "whistle while you work" attitude. In keeping with this attitude, "Goal" and "Cookie" should have roughly equal visual emphasis. 3. We're looking for something that symbolizes hard work and achievement, but not competition. The site is more about providing support, incentives, and encouragement rather than competition. There is also a "social support" aspect to the service that could maybe be worked in somehow.
