- This is a very important political campaign to help raise public awareness regarding the fact that the majority of farmers in California are currently being forced to shut down their farms due to the fact that the government has taken away the allotment of water they are allowed to farm with. Some Facts We Will be Exposing: - California is the 5th largest supplier of food to the WORLD - Farming is a $36.6 billion dollar a year industry for California. - Last year farmers shut down 25% of their farms. By the end of 2013 that is expected to double. - This has caused a 40% unemployment rate in Fresno county alone. - Food in the United States will increasingly come from Mexico and China where Americans will no longer have any voice over the regulations of that food. - Thousands will lose their jobs. - The price of fresh food in California has already become vastly more expensive and will continue to sky rocket as more farms continue to shut down. The repercussions of this are DEVASTING not just for California but for every American in the United States.

- LOGO INSTRUCTIONS: This logo will be used in videos, ad campaigns, marketing materials and the website. It needs to look professional enough to be featured in a commercial and be taken seriously, while appealing to the wider public in general. We would like the logo to appeal just as much to our elders, and lawmakers, as to our youth who we hope will support us in our cause and socially share the information with their peers. We do not want to give you too many instructions because we want to see what logo would appeal to you! Please make something you would like to see representing this cause and that you are proud of. For vectors and text manipulation you can use any crops or icons associated with farming in california. This is includes: Sun & fields, leaves, almond trees, roots, branch with leaf, corn, cow, people, grapes, cotton, etc
