I'm open to other ideas, but this is what I have in mind... the image has to project San Diego and cruising on a yacht. So, I was thinking to have a palm tree (NOT coconut palm) used as a left border and the water line as a bottom border. The top and right borders can be open to the design elements.
I think I'd like to have the San Diego skyline in the background and have a motor yacht cruising through the foreground. If you're going to use a motor yacht, it must be a MOTOR YACHT, not a cruise ship. I am not opposed to sailboats, but prefer a motor yacht. Other elements of San Diego may be used if you think it would enhance the project without over complicating the design; Coronado Bridge for example.
I'm looking for simple lines, perhaps not even as detailed as the concept image attached. But something identifiable and something that can easily be embroidered into a polo shirt or hat, and yet professional enough to look good on a letterhead.
Using the words, "San Diego Bay Cruises" is not entirely necessary in the logo as we can add them later. The logo itself should be able to stand alone with or without the wording.
All work MUST be original and no clipart is to be used at all.

The words, "San Diego Bay Cruises" do not necessarily need to appear in the logo. I would like to have the option of excluding the words and have the logo stand alone, or for us to change the fonts for different purposes. The logo itself should be simple enough to be able to embroider on a shirt or hat.
